Hi everyone,
On Sunday we spent the day at Addo Elephant National Park. The park is a one hour drive from Port Elizabeth. There are several hundred elephants in the park, plus a wide range of other animals. It was a great day out.
The elephants gathered at the main water hole around lunch time. There were about 100 elephants there and we believe they were mostly adult females and their young. We saw several solitary male elephants elsewhere in the park as we drove around.

The variety of antelope in Addo is impressive. We saw several we haven't seen previously, including kudu and hartebeest.

The bush in this park is very different to that in iMfolosi/Hluhluwe. It's interesting seeing such varied habitats. Where previously we were in a tropical area with summer rain, we're now in a temperate area with winter rains. Addo was much greener than the northern parks.
